Christmas, Family

Christmas is Coming

img_8136I blogged last week about taking my 1 plus 1 to see Father Christmas, (πŸŽ…πŸΌπŸŽ„ Christmas Guilt πŸŽ„πŸŽ…πŸΌ)Β and how I hadn’t planned to. However I crumbled against parenting pressure and today we went to The Reindeer Centre in Ashford. It was the first Christmassy thing we have done as a family and as Mr DC was off work was lovely we could all go together.

It’s a bit of a trek but I have to say it is well worth it. You don’t need to book, just turn up. We had to queue to see Father Christmas but only about 15/20 minutes. Mop Top was given a santas hat while we waited and as we queued there were reindeers to look at and toys to play with.
We do not have much comparison but the Father Christmas was really good. Mop Top was hesitant but she was happy to sit with me next to him. He asked her questions, and really played the role well. She received a large cuddly toy which she was more than happy with. Even though we didn’t get Bear a present, (mean mummy) he sat in for a photo, and hopefully next year he’ll be more involved. We obviously purchased the obligatory photo. Us parents received a free mince pie which was an added bonus.

I am so glad we decided to take them, and it was lovely to see Mop Top take in the fairytale of Father Christmas.
You’ve got to love a family day, and finally we can get in the Christmas spirit!

Love Kelly, Mr DC and our 1 plus 1
